Welcome to Ferdows
The Ferdows Foundation is a 501 (c) (3 ) non-profit organization dedicated to conducting scientific research, enhancing knowledge of horticulture, and preserving and maintaining the integrity of the Ferdows house and garden for future generations.

Research activities will include such items as trial gardens, agricultural hardiness zone experiments, integrated pest management trials, effective greenhouse management, landscape architecture trials and models, and other similar activities that become possible as technological changes take place.
Ferdows Foundation operates as a Private Foundation and is accountable to a Board of Directors. The Foundation is partnering with the University of Maryland to conduct its activities. The governing bylaws and operating rules are available to the Foundation Board, as is the Memorandum of Understanding that governs the relationship with our Partner organization (the University of Maryland, Department of Plant Sciences and Landscape Architecture).
